Friends and Fans of FVPSports Television Network,
It is with great regrets that I’m posting this today. Due to ever increasing cost and the lack of interest among
potential sponsors and advertisers for the Internet and Television broadcast of NCAA Division III Sports,
Forever Video Productions and FVPSports Television Network will at this time IS TEMPORARILY
SUSPENDING BROADCASTING until further notice of Concordia University Texas sporting events.
In 2010, Forever Video Productions spent nearly $46,000 to bring you great high quality video coverage of
Concordia athletics. We traveled with the Basketball teams to give nearly complete coverage of the entire
season and produced almost all of the home Baseball and Softball games. We wanted to broadcast the
championship finals for several sports but, again there was no interest among sponsors and advertisers. We
even tried charging you, the fans, for the games. But, we found that viewership fell and we still didn’t make
enough to offset the cost of producing broadcasts. Our intentions all along were to provide a FREE
broadcast as a service to all who wanted to watch while sponsors and advertisers helped offset cost.
We can’t seem to understand how sponsors and advertisers are willing to spend tens of thousands of dollars
every year on in-stadium advertising when we have consistently had between two and five times or more
viewers watching the broadcasts than attendees in the stadiums! Yet, we are unable to obtain sponsors and
advertisers at rock bottom prices for a 30 second television and Internet advertising spot. Time Warner Cable
even gave us double the advertising time per broadcast to help make prices as reasonable as possible for
potential advertisers. Our television coverage had the ability to reach more than a million homes and
businesses on the Time Warner Cable system. While our Internet broadcast had a potential of literally a
worldwide audience!
We have been trying to continue to provide this valuable service to the Concordia University Texas
Community and the American Southwest Conference as a whole and we will continue to look for ways to help
fund this endeavor. We have many working on the issues at hand.
Everyone here at Forever Video Productions and FVPSports Television Network is sad to see this service
potentially end. We’ve had as much fun producing the games as you’ve had watching them. We made lots of
friends at Colleges and Universities all over the American Southwest Conference. We’ve interacted with the
teams, coaches, players, and staffs and were welcomed with open arms everywhere we went to film. And we
appreciated all the support you have shown.
For now, Forever Video Productions will continue to provide video coverage for events such as weddings,
business seminars, sales and annual meetings, conventions, graduations, banquets, music venues and
concerts, real estate videos, as well any other place video coverage will be needed.
